One Minute’s Silence

I strongly believe an annual commemoration should have been put in place since the first anniversary of the fire.  Over the intervening years I waited for an elected representative or church leader to instigate an annual acknowledgement of this huge tragedy. This was never done, so in 2014 I decided to hold a one minute’s silence each year ongoing, and this takes place with kind permission of R Harmer MHK on the Summerland site on Douglas promenade at 7.30pm, 2nd August.  An invitation is extended to everyone who would like to come along and remember those killed, injured and affected in any way.
