At age 19 I watched from the cliffs above as Summerland burned and took the lives of 50 people in 25 minutes on 7.30pm, Thursday 2nd August 1973. I have never forgotten this huge tragedy. No one ever answered for the multitude of mistakes made. I waited, but no-one put in place a commemoration or memorial on the site. In 2014 I decided to do it and now hold a one minute's silence, memorial concert and campaign for a commemorative space on the site where this injustice took place. This site is dedicated to those killed, injured or who helped in any way at the time of the fire.
